Truce

Sometimes we do a bit of work around Mokau.

We have been putting in a driveway to one of the local holiday homes.

It has been a breezy day, and rather rough at sea, but an enjoyable job.

It makes a real change to have no traffic to worry about, you don't realize how stressful this can be until suddenly it isn't there.

It is a bit like a temporary ceasefire on a battlefield.

You can chat without the roar of trucks interrupting, you can stand back and admire your work, and best of all, it was only a short walk to the pie shop...
